YWCA Queensland is celebrating its amalgamation by hosting a series of events throughout 2011. Kicking off our celebrations is the Fascinating Women Series Launch on March 21.

YWCA Queensland Fascinating Women series celebrates the "everyday" woman and reminds us that we don't all have to be celebrities to have fascinating stories, abilities and skills to do amazing things to support and help others.

The series launch showcases four fascinating local women who have done, and are doing great things. As a panel, these four women will share their stories, thoughts, and answer questions regarding women's role in the community and how they have succeeded.

Alison Triffett

Alison is founder and director of Alison Triffett –StyleCounsel.She is a Personal Stylist for private clients (men, women, teens) celebrities, photographers and the TV industry - but she doesn’t stop there! Teresa Dyson

Teresa also works closely with our litigation team in relation to tax controversy matters.

Carolyn MasonCarolyn Mason
Carolyn Mason has held a wide range of positions in Queensland and Commonwealth government departments in State Development, Health, Employment, and Training. In 1990, she became the first Women’s Advisor to the Premier (Wayne Goss) and thereafter, Director, Office of the Cabinet, Women’s Policy Unit. She served as CEO of the Queensland Residential Tenancies Authority and then established her company Partnering Works Pty Ltd in 2006. She is a Director of the Queensland Museum Board, the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland and a non-for-profit organisation related to women’s services. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and, in 1988, she was awarded a National Fellowship of the Institute of Public Administration Australia.
